about us
Mattie and Carl met through a mutual friend and instantly bonded over their love of old Peavey guitars. They decided to design their own pedal when Carl introduced Mattie to the Harmonic Percolator, and things have continued happily ever since. Mattie spends their days as a mechanical engineer, and Carl works in medical imaging. They spend their nights and weekends listening to Neurosis and Shellac records, challenging the structural integrity of their band Booklegger’s practice space, and building pedals.
Our pedals take a while to build (unreasonable amounts of component testing, sorting, biasing, etc - we did it to ourselves, really) so for the moment, we don’t have the capacity to build very many of them. We tend to tell the mailing list what’s coming a little bit before everyone else.
our missions
Include Everyone
We stand for a more diverse music scene. We stand with women, People of Color, LGBTQIA+ folks, and marginalized groups in general. We will continually put our time, money, and platform to work toward this mission.
***IMPORTANT***
We have zero tolerance for hate or discrimination. If you are a white nationalist, nazi, misogynist, homophobe, transphobe, proud boy, or any other flavor of regressive dipshit, fuck off. Please buy someone else’s pedals to make your shitty, boring music.
Create Great Pedals
We want to create insanely good effects that inspire you to play. We want to design and build the best effects we can - killer tone, low-noise, reliable, and roadworthy.
Stand By Our Product
We offer lifetime free repairs on our pedals (including reimbursement if you have to ship it back to us). If you’re having an issue, let us know. We’ll work with you to get it resolved.
Stand With Our Peers
We want to be a benefit to the pedal community. If there is any way that we can help you, fellow pedal builder, don’t hesitate to ask. The world of pedal builders is an amazing one - it’s not a zero-sum game, and a rising tide truly lifts all boats. Let’s collaborate. Hit us up.
